The Rita and John Cornforth Medal for Research Excellence

The Rita and John Cornforth Medal for Research Excellence recognises outstanding achievement in research at the University that contribute to the overall advancement of our communities. This medal is awarded to a person who, in the previous year, graduated or completed the requirements for any University degree.

Since 1980, the University of Sydney has recognised over 200 alumni for achievements in their fields and outstanding leadership through the Alumni Awards. These exceptional alumni come from all walks of life and demonstrate a commitment to empowering progress in their communities through their local, national, and international contributions.
